Synod 2021-2023 Resources
Pope Francis wants to hear from you about what is happening in our local Catholic communities and in the universal Church, and how you feel the Spirit is calling us to live out the mission of Jesus Christ today. To get everyone’s input, Pope Francis is calling the entire Church to participate in a synod, a process of consultation and listening rooted in the ancient tradition of the Church. This synod is not so much a one-time event as it is an opportunity for the Church to grow into the process of listening and journeying together, so that synodality might become our way of being Church together.
The synod began in October 2021, and will last until 2023, with listening sessions at the local level wrapping in spring 2022. We encourage you to add your voice to this historic process. If you want to participate in the synod and don’t know how, please contact us through the form below. To help you learn more about synodality and to implement listening sessions in your own context, we have compiled a number of resources. Below you will find a listing of documents from the Aquinas Center's CLIP group, and by clicking on the buttons below, you can find resources from the Vatican and the the Archdiocese of Atlanta. Please feel free to utilize any of these documents in your parish or other community setting. |
